Students get a taste of different cultures

This term Year 9 Food Tech have been learning about international food and how sharing recipes from different cultures allows them to not only gain an appreciation for other cultures, but also understand the significance of cultural heritage and how food relates to one’s cultural identity.

Recently they learnt how to cook Damper and a west-African dish called Jollof Rice. The students involved have been inspired by the experience to explore different food cultures.
