The Community Centre at the College gives physical expression to the Franciscan ethos of openness to the world, in a spirit of gentleness and acceptance. It seeks to be an instrument of peace and capacity-building in the Crestmead and surrounding area, and to do so in a spirit of Numbellie Karulboo (words meaning ‘everybody’ and ‘together’ in the Yuggera and Yugambeh languages of the traditional custodians of the lands from which the school draws its population).
Use of the centre by outside groups is encouraged. Current groups utilising the facility range from preschool- aged infants and toddlers (Playgroup), to students accessing after school care, to women's well-being groups, and adult groups catering to a variety of cross-cultural needs.
Community Centre facilities are also utilised by an indigenous dance group, and the centre has been the venue for community workshops, as well as parenting support courses.
