Vocational Education Training (VET)

​Vocational Education Training (VET) is education and training that focuses on providing skills for work.  

St Francis College, Crestmead offers a variety of vocational education qualifications, across a range of industry areas. We deliver nationally recognised qualifications on our campus facilities and provide pathways for students who wish to undertake TAFE, apprenticeships, traineeships and workplace opportunities.

St Francis College also partners with external RTO to deliver the following qualifications on site:

External Training Programs

Work  Experience and Industry Placement Weeks

As part of the Vocational Learning and Vocational Education Programs, students in years 10, 11 and 12 are provided with opportunities to build their work skills in Work Experience and Industry Placement blocks. Students are able to gain valuable knowledge and skills during these weeks to assist them with finding work, their pathways and meet specific course requirements.

School-based Apprenticeships and Traineeships

St Francis College has a dedicated Industry Liaison Officer to assist students to gain School-based Apprenticeships and Traineeships. The College has connections with employers in various industries and connects students with opportunities. Students will be in regular communication with the Industry Liaison Officer to ensure that all aspects of their studies are progressing well.
