Career Pathways

​​​​Through our Career Pathways, we offer Vocational Education Training (VET) which is education and training that focuses on providing skills for work.  

St Francis College, Crestmead offers a variety of vocational education qualifications, across a range of industry areas. Our external providers deliver nationally recognised qualifications on our campus facilities and provide pathways for students who wish to undertake TAFE, apprenticeships, traineeships and workplace opportunities.

St Francis College also partners with external RTO to deliver the following qualifications on-site:

SIT20316 Certificate II in Hospitality RTO: Blueprint

HLT23215 Certificate II in Health Support Services/HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance - RTO: Strategix

TLI20420 Certificate II in Supply Chain Operations/FBP20117 Certificate II in Food Processing RTO: Strategix​​

​External Training Programs

St Francis College supports students attending external TAFE to follow their pathways. Students are to meet with the VET and Pathways Leader to ensure that courses are suited for their pathways. Click on TAFE at School for further information.​

Work  Experience and Industry Placement Weeks

As part of the Vocational Learning and Vocational Education Programs, students in years 10, 11 and 12 are provided with opportunities to build their work skills in Work Experience and Industry Placement blocks. Students can gain valuable knowledge and skills during these weeks to assist them with finding work, and their pathways and meet specific course requirements.

School-based Apprenticeships and Traineeships

St Francis College has a dedicated Industry Liaison Officer to assist students in gaining School-based Apprenticeships and Traineeships. The College has connections with employers in various industries and connects students with opportunities. Students will be in regular communication with the Industry Liaison Officer to ensure that all aspects of their studies are progressing well.
